Since Last We Met

Georgetown is buzzing with the excitement of reunion and reconciliation. The successors of slave-owning Jesuits and the ancestors of those they owned are coming back together in 2017 in the spirit of penance and forgiveness. In this podcast, Georgetown University student Aidan Kenney deals with the last time these communities came into contact. Their point of departure--not the 1838 sale, but a pair of letters sent ten years later that went ignored by Georgetown's leadership. The story of these letters is one of ingratitude, indifference, and promises broken. "Since Last We Met" interrogates this dark moment in Georgetown's past to better inform a future of accountability and humility in all things.
